We are excited to offer our students a healthy and safe way to have fun. Our expert Cycling Enthusiasts will teach your child about the history of cycling and cycling safety. Join us for a 6-week yoga class taught by Ravenne Chase, a registered and certified yoga instructor, from May 1 through June 8, 2019, at the Friends in Need Children’s Center, located at the Community Refuge Church in Manalapan, New Jersey. A yoga mat is required.
Our February Mentor activity was a Black History event, “Packing Punch”, held on Friday, February 15, 2019 at the Freehold Boro YMCA. The event, planned by mentors Pam and Michael, included a guest speaker, learning about stepping, youth choreographing a dance, display of black art for review/discussion, and a sampling of African American dishes.
We will have a combined Girls to Women and Boys to Men mentor/mentee program on healthy eating and exercise, on Sunday, March 31, 2019, from 3:00pm to 5:00pm.
