The COVID-19 pandemic has and continues to cause harm, chaos, and challenges in our community and worldwide. To continue supporting our kids and their families during these challenging times, we have had to adapt and make changes to continue to make a positive impact safely and responsibly. At Children\u2019s Friend we are confronting COVID-19 through a three-team approach:<\/p>\n
On an operational level, we have a COVID-19 Response Team, which is available 24\/7 to support our staff and families through the ongoing challenges of screening, symptoms, testing, quarantining, and communications.<\/p>\n
On an agency-wide level, we have a COVID-19 Reopening Task Force. This group comprises internal staff and external experts in crisis response and environmental health and safety, guides and informs all agency decisions related to providing services and operating buildings.<\/p>\n
And because we know this pandemic will come to an end, we have a Reconfiguration Team working to capture data and learnings from the pandemic, which could influence how we improve our work in a post-pandemic period.<\/p>\n
Our community is currently experiencing a spike in positive cases and associated pain and suffering, which requires all of us to take precautions, act responsibly, and support and care for each other. Because of the amazing support and dedication of all of you, Children\u2019s Friend will stand strong in the short and long term, promoting the well-being and healthy development of our youngest and most vulnerable.<\/p>\n
