In the summer, Children\u2019s Friend was accepted to participate in the 2021 Nonprofit Innovation Lab led by Social Enterprise Greenhouse and the United Way of Rhode Island with five other Rhode Island nonprofits. After three months of weekly sessions on problem definition, innovation, design, and implementation, we entered a pilot phase. For Children\u2019s Friend, this was an opportunity to dig deeply into how we make innovation a part of what we all do. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We worked with a team of coaches to design and answer our question: \u201cHow might we involve everyone at Children\u2019s Friend in making changes that make things easier for staff and better for families?\u201d As our participation and pilot wrap up, we\u2019re excited to share some big news. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019ll be on Rhode Island PBS to share our work, along with all the other Nonprofit Innovation Lab participants! And starting today through January 25, you can watch a preview and vote for a \u201cPeople\u2019s Choice Award\u201d here<\/a>. Then, on February 7, tune in to see us and the other Innovation Lab participants share our final \u201cpitch!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
