Every year, the Children\u2019s Friend community comes through for our most vulnerable children and families and helps us ensure that children have warm clothing, coats and toys for the holidays. We absolutely could not serve 5,000 children without your support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last Saturday was no exception. Our dear friends and longtime partners, Mutual of America Financial Group, sponsored a special holiday WaterFire and toy drive to benefit Children\u2019s Friend and the Marines and Salvation&nbsp;Army Toys for Tots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And WOW \u2013 did the community come out to support this event! The December 4th basin lighting was the place to be with activities such as Santa&#8217;s Village, food&nbsp;and artist vendors, and holiday music. Santa ever arrived via boat, bringing the holiday spirit to Providence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019d love to send a HUGE thank you to our friends at Mutual of America Financial Group, WaterFire Providence, and the United Way of Rhode Island, who all worked so hard to make this event happen. We were honored to be included and are grateful for the essential support the event provided for our Holiday Drive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Help us spread #hopeandjoy this holiday. There\u2019s still time to sponsor a family in need this holiday and provide children with memories to last a lifetime.
